Globathon

About Globathon 2026

Globathon is Globatech Group's flagship hackathon, now in its second edition. It is designed to inspire innovation and technical excellence among young developers and engineers. The first edition drew around 120 teams and close to 350 participants. This year, teams will tackle real-world problem statements in FinTech and Energy, compete for a prize pool of ₹50,000, and earn a chance at Pre-Placement Interview (PPI) and Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) opportunities with Globatech.

Important Dates

• Registrations & Submissions Open: 5th October 2026

• Submissions Close: 11th October 2026

• Grand Finale: 31st October 2026 at Globatech Office, Pune

Eligibility

• Open to students currently enrolled in [undergraduate/postgraduate] programs

• Inter-specialization teams: Allowed. Members from different branches and streams are encouraged to team up.

• Each participant can be part of only one team

Team Format

• Team size: 2–4 members.

• Every team must have a designated team leader, who will handle submissions and communication.

Problem Statements

• Problem statements across two themes: FinTech and Energy

• Each team must choose one problem statement for their submission

Competition Process

Round 1 – Ideation (Online)

• Duration: 5th October to 19th October 2026 (14 days)

• Teams choose a problem statement and submit their proposed solution

• Submissions will be evaluated on innovation, feasibility, technical approach, impact, and clarity of presentation

• The top 10–12 teams will be shortlisted for the finale

Round 2 – Grand Finale (Offline)

• Date: 31st October 2026

• Venue: Globatech Office, Pune

• Duration: 12 hours

• Shortlisted teams will build and code their solution on-site, then present it to a jury of Globatech industry professionals

Rewards

• Total prize pool: ₹50,000

• PPI/PPO opportunities with Globatech for top performers

• Certificates for all finalists

• A chance to interact and network with Globatech's industry professionals

Rules

• All team members must register on Unstop before the submission deadline.

• Submissions must be original work. Plagiarism or copied solutions will lead to immediate disqualification.

• Open-source libraries, frameworks, and public APIs are allowed, provided they are properly credited.

• Late submissions will not be accepted.

• Team composition cannot be changed after the submission deadline.
